Rough demo released on Myspace
Hi All
Nils here, live from sunny southern California.
We have just received a rough demo of a new song, recorded while everybody was together in Denmark this recent Christmas. This number is called ‘Train’, and it’s a song I wrote in cooperation with Esben in the fall 09.
We’re uploading the demo to our myspace, so you all can get a sneak peak of whats gonna happen in the studio, the next couple of months.
I have been finishing up a bunch of new material, while being in New York/Los Angeles the last two months, and I can’t wait to get back and put the stuff together with the energetic Brothers Moving-machine, on March 1st.
Please go to our myspace and check out ‘Train’ - hope you enjoy what you hear.
All the best
Nils
Recording in Denmark
Hey everybody.
As you know we've been shopping for the right producer for some time now. We've tried out many extremely talented ones already but never really found the right solution. Now I think we have.
A friend of ours in Denmark has offered to help us out. He knows exactly what our music is about and respects the roots of it. He is a big part of the gypsy culture that we've been inspired by. I cant wait to hear and let you guys hear the results.
This means that we'll be recording and immerse ourselves in the studio in Denmark for a while. Our danish friends and fans will be seeing a lot more Brothers Moving the next couple of months.
See you very soon.
Happy holidays
To finish off 2009 properly, we played two gigs last night. Don Hills and Southpaw. Thank you for showing your love! We had a great night.
Soon we'll be heading back to Denmark for a nice and cozy Christmas holiday. That means two weeks of family, old friends, Christmas trees, rice pudding, candy and lots of rye bread! To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, check out the 2 pictures below. My mom just sent them. I haven't seen these in years but I remember those days so clearly.
- The first picture is at least 15 years old. We got a cool red car from a friend of the family, and we just spent all day pushing it around. Check out the face of Ash in the front seat - Haha! The cute little girl in the passenger seat is our baby sister. She'll be joining us soon.
- The second picture is from our debut as street musicians. We must have been around 11, 13 and 15 years old at the time. It was on a vacation, and I remember us asking our parents for ice cream. When we got a no from them, we decided to try and make the money our selves. Esben and I grabbed a guitar, and Ash found a shoe box as a drum. We made a fortune in 20 minutes and bought tons of ice cream.
Happy holidays everyone. We can't wait to see you all again in 2010!

Where did our music go?
Thanks so much for all of the videos you have posted on YouTube. We have added several to our Myspace page, and we truly love your support. As for our music on myspace, we have temporarily taken down our tracks... This is because we are currently in studio working on new material.
Once we finish it up, we'll post our new stuff for you to check out! For now, we will post new videos from venues and street acts as we get them.
Happy Holidays!

Crash Mansion coming up!
Simon has been sick for a while now. After his condition was getting worse, we decided to take him to the hospital Monday morning. They could not tell him what it was, but they gave him a lot of dope. That stuff sure made him see stuff. When he wasn't feeling better though, we got him out and in to another place by Thursday. They directed Simon to a specialist, who finally gave him the right pills. Now he is home in Brooklyn taking his medicine. The specialist seemed confident that Simon will be up and running soon, definitely for the show at Crash Mansion Tuesday. We cant wait!
We had a real good night on Halloween. Jamie, one half of the lovely duo that runs the Roots cafe, played with his band and he invited us to follow them. Jamie was amazing. Incredible voice and the band backed him up wonderfully. The crowd was huge (at least for Roots size) and they were practically dancing before we even started. A great experience, thanks to everyone there, especially to the lovely owners.
Hopefully it will be an equally great experience, when Crash Mansion host Brothers Moving and a bunch of their good friends. I really hope that a lot of you show up and contribute to that special atmosphere. The doors open at 7pm and we go on 8pm. The cover is 8 dollars. You can check out Crash Mansion here. We have never played there or even seen the venue, so we are all very exited and cant wait to give it our best performance. And by the way, I promise to show up...
So besides being locked up and catching rare deceases, the future looks bright for brothers moving. A few new songs are finding its way into the repertoire and we are looking forward to present them to you.
Also, Denmark are playing in the World cup in South Africa along side USA and we are very exited about that.
All the best from
Esben

Road trip
Hey guys. Its been a while since I updated this site. I've got a real good excuse though
.
As you may know, Nils' parents are visiting these days. We've been busy showing them around the city and enjoying the danish food the brought from back home. Friday we dragged them down to our Arlene's Grocery show. Thank you all for supporting that night! They were very overwhelmed, and we had a great time. This Sunday they decided to invite us all on a road trip to Niagara Falls. Of course we couldn't say no to such a great offer. We left Bed-Stuy around 10am and arrived 11pm the same day. Ones we got there, we realized that our hotel was located across the Canadian border. Luckily we all brought our passports. I gotta be honest though, I was a bit nervous if they would ever let me back in. Anyway, the falls were beautiful and the road trip through Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and New Jersey were stunning. We tried to stay off the freeways and mainly use smaller routes. Most of them had amazing scenic views down south. It really made me wanna buy a convertible and drive all the way west.
Next big event is Webster Hall this Friday. We've had the pleasure of working with Rich Russo from 101.9 RXP's "Anything, Anything" the last couple of months. He's hosting a band showcase at the venue, and letting us headline. The doors open at 7pm and the music starts at 8. For just $5 ($7 at the door) you get to hear Brothers Moving, Plastiq Passion, Out of the Box and Sarah Solovay. A great night of music! The entire event gets recorded too, so make sure you get there early and cheer extra loud that night. Your voice just might be aired Sunday nights on 101.9 RXP. You can RSVP on the event here and buy your ticket in advance here. Check out the poster below.
See you all very soon.
